Just a wee reminder that it’s the RSPB Birdwatch this weekend.
This is an annual bird count that can be done in your garden or local park any time from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January. It only takes an hour and no expertise is necessary and all the results feed into bird conservation. You can do it more than once and at different places simply looking out of your window or wrapping up and heading out.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a garden you can do it at the park and if you fancy join us …..
We will be doing a birdwatch at Saughton on Sunday, 29th January and you are more than welcome to join us. We will be meeting in the conservatory of the winter garden at 10am before heading out. Please let us know if you are planning to come along. Children are welcome.
https://youtu.be/TlLOih_GFt0 None of us are experts so we will just do
our best and work together. Please bring some paper and a pen to jot down what you see. We have some binoculars but if you have some then please also bring along. If the weather is terrible we will cancel so do look at your email on the day before turning up.
Finally we can have a brew to warm up after so bring your cups.
